As a registered charity, we rely heavily on donations to care for the donkeys and ponies in our care and to rescue the others out there who desperately need our help. The cost of feeding our residents alone is over £60,000 a year, before essential veterinary care, supplements and farrier costs are even taken into account, and there are many other ongoing expenses too.
Your donation will also support our vital educational outreach work and help us to complete other significant ongoing projects, that allow us to continually improve our sanctuary for our special residents.

How Your Donation Will Help…£5 Will buy a large bag of carrots or 10 packs of ginger-nut biscuits (for treats and administering medication!) £10 Will buy a bag of special feed for our elderly donkeys who have dental problems and cannot graze well. £20 Will pay for a foot trim for one donkey – some of our residents need this doing regularly due to health issues. £30 Will buy one large bale of haylage to help get our residents through the cold winter months. £50 Will buy a new donkey rug to keep our special needs residents warm and cosy when the weather is cooler. £150 Will cover the cost of treatment with the veterinary equine dentist. £500 Will allow us to carry out the initial rescue of a donkey in desperate need of our help. |
