​Sparkle

Sparkle arrived with us in spring 2020 with her daughter, Tinsel, when the failing health of their owners meant they sadly had to be relinquished into our care.

The pair are tiny miniature donkeys and very sweet, loving girls, who are closely bonded, but they also have wonderfully independent, unique characters 

Sparkle and Tinsel settled well into life at our sanctuary, although Tinsel initially required major surgery at the veterinary hospital to remove a deep routed sarcoid on her flank. Her post-surgery wound was about the size of a dinner plate, so both girls were housed in our TLC barn whilst she recovered. They got on so well with the TLC Herd and Paphos took quite the liking to them both, so we decided they should stay there! They absolutely love being pampered and being the centre of attention, so we have affectionately named them "The Sparkles"!
