Rocky

Rocky was saved at the "11th hour" (along with his friend Pierre and two other donkeys), just as he was about to endure the horrific journey to Italy to be slaughtered for meat. We secured their initial safety with our equine rescue friend Felicity at Pegasus Sanctuary, as poor Pierre had a very nasty infection, which meant he was unfit to travel. 

Rocky was very scared of people initially when he arrived, but we have delighted in watching him grow in confidence and he now enjoys life with his friends in our Main Herd. 

He is a big, sturdy donkey and a gorgeous boy!
