Primrose
Primrose arrived at Flicka in October 2008; she came from Romania where she had been abandoned on a roadside.
Her condition was extremely poor and her survival was tenuous – fortunately as you can see she was a tough old lady and, happily, she is now thriving.
Primrose is a very gentle, kind donkey with the sweetest nature, all the more amazing considering what she has endured, and has deformed back legs, probably from being ‘hobbled’ or carrying and pulling weights beyond her ability.
Primrose is very closely bonded with ‘Lonely’ another ‘aged’ donkey from the continent.
