Pierre

Pierre was saved at the "11th hour" (along with his friend Rocky and two other donkeys), just as he was about to endure the horrific journey to Italy to be slaughtered for meat. We secured their initial safety with our equine rescue friend Felicity at Pegasus Sanctuary, as poor Pierre had a very nasty infection, which meant he was unfit to travel. 

Pierre was very nervous when he arrived, but we have delighted in watching him grow in confidence 

He is a big, strong lad and an absolutely stunning donkey!
