Nellie

Nellie is in her mid-twenties and came to Flicka with her friend Dora in 2023 when their family's circumstances changed and they could sadly no longer care for them. Nellie is very quiet, gentle and friendly and needed to be in a quieter, more mature environment due to her advancing years, so both she and Dora joined our Twilight Herd of older donkeys.

It is a pleasure to have Nellie as part of our Flicka Family. At our sanctuary, she will always be free to spend her days exactly as she chooses; grazing in a choice of paddocks, relaxing in one of the cosy indoor donkey barns when the weather is colder or socialising with her newfound friends.
