Minstrel
Minstrel arrived here in 2008 from Romania, emaciated and weak. He had very nasty infected wounds on his face that took many months of veterinary treatment to heal. One wound was so near his eye we feared he may lose it. Thank goodness they all healed well, although he still has some scars on his face.
Minstrel also arrived with wounds that had abscessed on his tummy, they were very painful, which did not make it easy to treat. He was listless and wouldn’t eat. We cannot be certain why he had such significant wounds around his tummy and can only guess maybe as a result of being struck with sticks or kicked to make him work.
Minstrel is thriving and loves to be out in the paddock with his friends, he is quite distinct as he always grows quite a curly winter coat - we should have called him Teddy, he is like a little bear!
