Jasper
In December 2011 The Donkey Sanctuary asked for our help - a donkey that had been ‘signed over’ to them was deemed not fit to travel from Cornwall to Devon, so he came here for treatment and rehabilitation until he was well enough to make the journey.
Jasper had the full ‘works’ a full blood screening, x-rays of all four feet, dental treatment, remedial foot trimming and various medications for his ‘under par’ health. The Donkey Sanctuary asked us to care for him during his convalescence and we were more than happy to have Jasper here as our VIP guest.
Of course you can imagine what happened… after five minutes we fell in love with him! So after three months of care here, we and The Donkey Sanctuary agreed that Flicka should have Jasper on permanent foster care and not put him through any more upheaval. He is quite an ‘aged’ little gentleman (born around 1971), very affable and friendly and quite naughty!
Jasper's friends are Marybelle, Primrose and Lonely.
