Hermine & Dannette

We saved Hermine and her mother Dannette from an uncertain fate in France. They are Baudet du Poitou donkeys - a rare breed, thought to be one of the oldest in the world! 

The pair were in a terrible state when they were rescued, having been sadly neglected for some time... We were initially very worried for their chances of survival, but our friend Tracey Bradford of Pour L'amour des Anes 29 sanctuary made a long journey to save the girls and worked an absolute miracle with them in France; helping them well on their way on their journey of physical and mental recovery. 

We arranged for their transport to the UK and life really started to improve for these girls! They quickly joined our Main Herd and they have settled in wonderfully.
