You may have noticed we've started using our brand new logo!
As The Flicka Foundation, we have been rescuing and caring for horses and donkeys and many other animals for over 20 years. The Flicka Foundation started with Mary Berryman and her rescue and care for an elderly pony called Mickey. Back then the charity was known as 'The Golden Oldies'.
As you know, the past few years have seen an increasing number of donkeys come into our care - the sanctuary is now home to more than 70 beautiful donkeys, all of whom have been rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment. This change has led our name and logo to evolve, in order to properly reflect and uphold our charity's work.
Our new name and logo demonstrates more clearly what we do and we hope it will help more people understand, and be interested in, our work; which in turn will encourage vital support for the charity.
Although our name and logo have changed slightly, our work, our passion and our dediation to the animals remains the same. The change doesn't mean we will forget our history either - it will only strengthen our legacy by ensuring we can continue our vital work and keep transforming the lives of many more animals - as we have done for over 20 years.
Thank you for your continued support!
