Ernie

Ernie and his best friend Amos were relinquished into our care in 2019 when their owners could no longer care for them. They were originally saved from a live animal market where they were found in very poor condition.

Poor Ernie suffers from an unusual skin issue, which has left vets scratching their heads... He has had extensive investigations and the general consensus is that it must be as a result of some past stress and anxiety, which fits considering the trauma he endured; just confirming what emotional and sensitive animals donkeys are. 

Ernie is a very friendly boy and such a little character!
