Dorothy
Dorothy arrived in February 2021, as part of a rescue of a small herd of donkeys from a terrible situation. Our little “Herd of Hope” arrived filthy, frightened and in desperate need of veterinary care and attention; suffering from malnutrition, badly overgrown and twisted feet, dental issues and all the signs of sheer neglect. You wouldn’t think it to see them now though - we are so pleased with how they are doing... Despite Dorothy’s poor physical health on arrival, she is a confident, friendly donkey! She enjoys living with her friends at our sanctuary and seems to be a bit of a Mother figure - they all love her and seek out her company. |
