Change to opening times
We are changing the days we are open to visitors, from 4 November 2019.
From Week commencing 4 November 2019 Flicka will be
Closed:
Monday (except Bank Holidays)
Tuesday and
Wednesday.
Open 11am to 4pm:
Thursday
Friday
Saturday and
Sunday.
These changes will give us the extra time we need to focus more on vital welfare work and allow a bit more flexibility for building maintenance, repairs and general maintenance to be done around the centre. These are things which cannot be carried out safely or easily when we have guests. When we are open visitors have access to nearly all areas, and being closed two single days at either end of the week restricts some of the essential work that needs to be done. With so many donkeys it will also allow ease and safety of moving animals around when we have the dentist, farrier and vet in.
We hope being open on a Friday will make up for being closed an extra day, and we hope this will not inconvenience anyone, we’re sure you understand the need to do this. We will still be able to provide special visits and tours by arrangement if our closed days are the only option.
