Buttercup

Buttercup was saved at the 11th hour, just before she was loaded onto a meat lorry bound for France. She was in poor condition and very depressed when she arrived. Luckily, Teddy arrived just two days later - these two lonely souls bonded instantly and have remained so ever since!

They then went out to a wonderful foster home together, where Buttercup surprised everyone by giving birth to baby Angelina, despite not showing any clinical signs! Some time later, their wonderful foster carers sadly had to ask us to bring them back to our sanctuary due to a change in their circumstances, but we are just thrilled to have them here. 

Buttercup is a beautiful donkey. She is quite a timid girl, but always keen to get as close to you as she dares!
