£25 – Will buy one large bale of haylage for 4 horses for five days through the winter.
£6 - Will buy one small bale of haylage for 1 pony for four days through the winter.
£3 – Will buy one bale of hay.
£3 – Will buy one bale of straw.
£3 – Will buy 3-litre bottle of vegetable oil supplement for the elderly ponies.
£16 – Two weeks supply of heat lamps for elderly donkeys.
£4 – Will buy a new head collar, always desperate for these.
£6 – Will buy one bag of pony nuts – feeding one horse/donkey for 5 days.
£3.50 – Will buy one large bag of carrots (for treats and to administer medication).
£49 – Will buy a tub of ‘Cortaflex’ for arthritic horses and donkeys.
£45 – Will buy some ‘Breathe Easy’ for Ben & Jimmy & Hermione
£49 – Will buy ‘Propel Plus’ vitamin supplement - two weeks supply for some of the very aged horses and donkeys.
£10 – Will buy a large bag of Alf Alfa – one week’s supply, food additive.
£6 – Will buy a bag of ‘Grass Nuts’ – 2 days supply, a critical food supply for the aged horses who have dental problems and cannot graze well.
£20 – Will buy a foot trim – some like Primrose and Bella need to be done regularly due to health issues.
£??? – Any amount towards veterinary fees, wormers, tetanus injections, veterinary cupboard supplies (wound powders, creams, bute, bandages, sprays……….and so on), winter-feed, rug repairs, straw, hay. The list is endless!!!
Please help us, we know many pleas come through the post, all for worthwhile causes. Please be assured any amount, however small, is vital…..maybe next time you’re shopping instead of a cappuccino…. help us buy a bag of grass nuts, that would be lovely!
The ‘Flicka Foundation’ raises some its own income, but it is only a part of our survival, ultimately it is down to our adopters and yearly fundraising schemes, please help us – with all the donkeys and horses that need us…..we need you………Our vet fees through 2011 have been the highest ever………….
The rescue of a vulnerable horse or donkey is a great relief, being brought to safety at ‘Flicka’, their care, rehabilitation & lifelong commitment is just the beginning for us, please help us ensure their, albeit. ‘twilight’, future.
