Finty
Finty and her companion Frieda came to us in March 2024. They had been neglected for many years and we stepped in to save them when their owner passed away and they were about to be taken to the abattoir. They were in shocking condition; their crippled feet had been cut with a hammer and chisel, they were emaciated, covered in urine, dung and suffering with rainscald (a bacterial skin infection). They had difficulty walking properly and the poor girls also had to be quarantined immediately due to both suffering from a severe infection of strangles. Their road to recovery took many months and Frieda sadly passed away after 12 months with us, but Finty is doing really well and has settled wonderfully into life at our sanctuary. She is a gentle soul and the most special girl. Finty is very friendly and loves people! |
