What a dear, sweet, tiny donkey; Emma is quite the ‘aged’ lady - born around 1978.
Emma was rescued from an auction along with her tiny foal, Compo; she was one of five donkeys seized by animal welfare just in time to escape being bought by a meat trader.
Emma was so neglected and malnourished that she couldn’t even feed her foal; he was dangerously thin as a result. Once he was removed and they received much needed treatment and lots of TLC, they both
began to thrive.
