Stay With Us

We have two static caravans on the site which can each accomodate up to 6 people.  They make a great value holiday in the glorious county of Cornwall. We are just a short drive from Falmouth and the fabulous Cornish attractions, such as the Eden Project. St Michael’s Mount and Land’s End, are a perfect day out while you’re down here. (Webmaster’s note - I hired a caravan via an Ebay auction and after spending time at the foundation!

We are situated on the south coast of Cornwall, just four miles from Falmouth. Our centre has panoramic views towards Falmouth Bay and across miles of open countryside.

Each 4/6-berth caravan is all-electric with a £1 meter to supply heaters (well under national average), full oven and cooker, microwave, television & DVD player and now umpteen channels with ‘Freeview’. There is a separate fully plumbed in shower, toilet and washbasin. These units are self-catering so you will need to bring all essential personal items, such as bedding and toiletries. This year the caravans have had new curtains, various new appliances and soft furnishings, all ready for the spring and summer.

We no longer supply bedding (due to many problems)- there are however pillows and blankets for extra warmth, you will need to provide your own bedding/sleeping bags.

Dogs are welcome at £5 each, maximum two dogs per caravan, please advise in advance. We love dogs (four live here), but for their safety they must be kept on a lead around the yard and caravan area.

All caravan booking proceeds go to ‘The Flicka Foundation’ our sanctuary for elderly, unwanted and ailing horses, ponies & donkeys – as well as rescued pigs, cows, cats, dogs and other small animals!!

Horse riding lessons can be arranged details here

Remember, we are not a caravan site – there is no laundry room, café, bar, disco or shop – just green fields and horses enjoying the twilight years of their lives in peace, and because of this we can not permit ball games on site, We are sorry to sound like ‘killjoys’, but you can walk around the yard and go over the fields to say hello to our ‘friends’ (accompanied by an adult) – who generally love a Polo mint!!

You are not far from anywhere in Cornwall and there are hundreds of attractions nearby. We are about four miles from Falmouth with its beaches and boat trips, and as the crow flies about the same from the National Trust beaches like ‘Durgan’ and ‘Trebah Gardens’, we are not far from Flambards and for a half hour car journey there is the ‘Eden Project’.

We are an animal sanctuary – so this holiday accommodation is for folk who ‘honestly’ love animals, (you will be surrounded by them) and the countryside, every penny you pay for your holiday goes to the charity’s animals.

The caravans are in their own landscaped enclosed area, but you are in close proximity to the horses and donkeys (in fact two of our ‘old timer’ donkeys have been known to wait at the caravan doors for a ginger nut biscuit)!!
