LONELY

Lonely was a very sad depressed little chap, he came off the lorry with his head down - he seemed resigned to whatever was going to happen. Once he was put into a deep bed of straw he stood facing into the corner, completely detached from everything around him. Hence the name Lonely, he was like a grieving donkey. He was very thin, with badly infected skin and obviously had some age about him. Every day Lonely was very low and dejected, even food did not interest him.

The following month 'Primrose' arrived, another older donkey, we put her with Lonely......what a transformation, he bonded immediately with Primrose, the two are inseparable and spend their days grazing and wandering around the centre, having fuss, titbits and cuddles from anyone who will oblige.
Lonely is a changed donkey!!
