Animals Needing Forever Homes
The Flicka Foundation gets umpteen requests every month to take on more horses and donkeys (mostly horses) all needing homes, sometimes they have been removed from cruelty and neglect, sometimes owners fall upon difficult times or their circumstances change. Unfortunately we are so full and stretched beyond physical and financial capacity, we just cannot help with the many requests we get on a daily basis.
For our time and for the charity a £25 fee is required and we will put a photo and narrative about your horse on the web site, also our Facebook and on various Network groups, and dsplayed in reception on our centre, it will remain on the site for four weeks, if there is no success we will refund half the fee (it all goes to the charity) – or you can leave it for a further four weeks.
You can forward details of your horse and an attached photograph to info@flicka.org.uk - either send a cheque to the Flicka Foundation or you can pay via the Paypal button at the bottom of the page.

Sweetie 14.4.12
"This is my beautiful 17 year old 13.1hh black mare who I need to rehome asap due to a change of circumstances and lack of time, she is good in all ways and has never to my knowledge been ill. Sweetie, over the years, has bred many lovely foals and is a fab mum.
I've had her 9 months and she hasn't put a foot wrong , she has never been broken but regularly takes my 2 year old for a ride around the yard with a little saddle on and loves it! She has a White face which can get sunburnt but with time she's ok wearing a mask and suncream. I unfortunately don't have that time and I really don't want her to get burnt .Sweetie is a lovely natured pony. Please can someone help by giving her a nice forever home"?

DORRIE
Can You Give Dorrie a Home?
Amy is desperately trying to find a loving 5* forever home for her pony Dorrie - can you help?
"I am looking for a new home for my pony, Dorrie and its breaking my heart. Sadly, due to a severe brain injury, I am out of work & I can't afford to keep Dorrie. Dorrie is a 21yr old, part arab/ thoroughbred, 14 hh, and she is a wonderful pony. I have had dorrie since I was 10, since she was 5yrs old. We have grown up together & I love her to bits. Dorrie is great and easy care for. She likes to go out every day (rain or shine) but she likes to come in during the nights. She gets on with all other horse & people ! Dorrie can't be ridden anymore but she is in great shape. I have tried advertise her as 'free to a 5*' home as a companion but sadly, the wrong people are interested in her for the wrong reasons. I would never forgive myself if I re-homed her to the wrong home".

Can You Give a Home to Justin & Oscar?
Justin and Oscar are both thirty years old, 14 hh and 14.2 hh ponies. Due to dramatically changed circumstances their owner can no longer keep them, she is, understandably, devastated.
'As from 1st Feb I have nowhere for these beautiful boys to live. you are my last port of call, I have searched for land and stables and retirement homes but none we can afford. I cannot bare the thought of them being put to sleep as they are so healthy, they have so much life left in them and so much love to give.
They need a superb loving home, they are used to living out in the summer and could live out in the winter if there was a nice warm shelter available. They are inseparable and if stabled at night, they like to be stabled together'.
Two lovely old gentlemen that need help.........can you help?
